I'd describe myself simply as an "everyday painter", inspired by the people and places I see around me, with the play of light playing its part.

 

I work at my studio using reference material sometimes, and other times I prefer to paint live- outdoors, depending on how I feel. I work in watercolours, acrylics and oils. and happy to accept commission work. Bert is a proud member of the Royal Watercolour Society of Wales.

 

I'm not sure how people describe Welsh art, but I’m a Welsh speaker, have lived in Wales all my life and find all my subjects here.
